Two men and two women have been arrested after revenue officers seized MDMA, Ketamine and LSD with an estimated value of €48,000 in Wicklow.
The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation targeting an organised crime group and conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Wicklow Divisional Drugs Unit.
Four firearms were seized by gardai in a follow up search of a vehicle.
A garda spokesman said: "Two men, aged 30 and 26, and two women, aged 25 and 23, were also arrested by An Garda Síochána. They are currently detained for questioning, subject to relevant provisions, at Bray and Wicklow Garda Stations. Investigations are ongoing."
A Revenue spokeswoman added: "This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
