Ange Postecoglou added competition for Kyogo Furuhashi in January with the January addition of Hyeongyu Oh, but could look to bolster his attacking ranks further with his sights set on making a serious mark on the Champions League next term.
Reports in Greece suggest Panathinaikos would be keen to cash-in on the 23-year-old this summer with his deal set to expire at the end of the 2024 campaign. But Ioannidis is playing his cards close to his chest over the prospect of an exit.
While preparing for his counties European qualifiers with Gibraltar and Lithania, he was quizzed on the prospect of a move to Celtic by Sport 24. Ioannidis responded: “At the moment my mind is only on Panathinaikos and the national team.
"I am not thinking about the future. First, let the season end and then we will look at what’s next.
"I am happy to improve continuously. Year by year, game by game. This is my goal, to help my team as much as I can, both Panathinaikos and the national team.
"It goes without saying that I can offer even more. I know it, as well as my team-mates. It’s only a matter of time before I start improving and playing at an even higher level.”
