The latest patch for Forza Motorsport is Update 15 that adds a variety of new content and features, such as a new track, ray-traced global illumination support, and many more.
Developer Turn 10 Studios just released for Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. Other inclusions of the new update are an Australian Tour, the Bathurst racing track, and new sounds for currently available vehicles.
Forza Motorsport Update 15
The Bathurst racing track is making a comeback with the new update and allows players to speed down the public road-made track that has major elevation changes, off-camber corners, and narrow surfaces.
On top of the new track, the developer also changed the Nordschleife and Nurburgring - Full Circuit to support multiplayer. The studio also adds rolling start to several series, such as Forza GT2, GT3, Early LMP, P1, and many more.
Forza Motorsport will offer players the chance to drive Australia-made V8 supercars during the Australia Tour month.
These include the 2017 Ford #17 Shell V-Power Racing Team Falcon FG X and many others, according to Neowin.
If you are able to complete all four series in the Australian Tour in Career or 10 AUS Series races in multiplayer, you will get the 2013 Holden #10 Xbox Racing Team Commodore VF. The developer also introduced some changes to Forza Race Regulations.
These reduce false-positive penalty assignments as it now considers tire wear when calculating off-track penalties. The game would also no longer disqualify players for going off-track before or after the start-finish line.
Brand New Content and Features
Some of the biggest events in Bathurst are the 12 Hours GT race and the blue riband Bathurst 1000 for the V8 Supercars championship. This is the last track that will be added to Forza Motorsport this year, GTPlanet said.
However, the developer is still committed to adding more circuits to the game throughout next year, where the first new track is expected to come in Update 17. The latest update also provides a major graphics boost with the ray-traced global illumination support (RTGI).
This can bring more accurate lighting and occlusion on the cars and tracks in real-time by taking advantage of ray tracing hardware. This feature is not enabled by default and will need to be switched on in the game's Graphics menu.
When this feature is enabled, it will apply to all gameplay and cinematics within Forza Motorsport as well as players' Homespace and Photo Mode, according to Comic Book.
