The star of an upcoming Belfast musical production has cut off her long locks to donate to a children's cancer charity.
Sophie Patterson will be taking on the title character when the Fortwilliam Musical Society perform the popular Broadway musical 'Sweet Charity' this summer.
The show follows Charity Hope Valentine and her turbulent love life. In its initial run, it was nominated for nine Tony Awards and took home the statue for Best Choreography.
