Fortnite x Coachella: earn rewards, visit Coachella Island and grab the bad bunny emote

This year's Fortnite x Coachella collaboration is kicking things up a notch, with Coachella Island, quests, merch, music, art installations and more, that will be available in-game long after the irl event is over.

The weekend never ends! Or so says the tagline to the upcoming Fortnite x Coachella event that goes live today. Players can complete Coachella quests, challenges, and mini-games, tune into Icon Radio to listen to music from Coachella artists, and grab new skins and emotes in the Item Shop. And of course, there's Coachella Island itself which is available to visit today, April 14, from 8pm BST / 3pm EDT / 10am PDT.

Completing Coachella quests will net you special items for your Locker, while the Fortnite x Coachella Challenge bags you the Coachella Island Loading Screen. If you're feeling more creative, snap and share screenshots of yourself on Coachella Island by Tuesday, April 18 with the #Fortography hashtag on Twitter and / or the 'Fortography' post flair on r/FortNiteBR and you may end up being featured in the Fortography Art Park.

There's also XP up for grabs along with some free rewards so be sure to visit Coachella Island, via the 'Epic’s Picks' Discover row or pop in island code 5449-4207-12803 to swing by and see the sights. Check out the trailer below for a sneak peek at what awaits you this weekend (and beyond). We've got more info on the challenges, and the Burna Boy Slide Stride and Bad Bunny Ask Me emotes after the break!

Fortnite x Coachella emotes and skins

Coachella 2023 artist's Bad Bunny and Burna Boy get emotes that have already hit the Fortnite Item Shop in preparation for the festivities today. Also available in the Item Shop are the Sunset Alto and Desert Dawn Lyric Outfits.

The Sunset Alto Outfit includes the Sunset Swirl Back Bling and Aurora Visualizer alt Style. You can up your accessory game by picking up the Crystalline Cactus Pickaxe, and all three accessories are reactive to music.

The Desert Dawn Lyric Outfit includes the Airflow Vibes Back Bling and Aurora Visualizer alt Style; you can finish off the ensemble with the Electropalm Staff Pickaxe.

Fornite x Coachella gets a Bad Bunny Ask Me emote and Burna Boy Slide Stride are in the Item Shop now (Epic Games)

And on the new Fortnite x Coachella content-front, there's two new emotes available based on Coachella 2023 artists Bad Bunny and Burna Boy. The Ask Me and Slide Stride emotes are live in the Fortnite Item Shop right now.

If you miss last year's Fortnite x Coachella skins, you're in luck. Both the Wilder and Poet Outfits along with the original Alto and Lyric Outfits are waiting in the Item Shop for you right now.

Fortnite x Coachella Quests

Head to Coachella Island to take on the Coachella Quests. As the irl event is over two weekends, so are the challenges. The first Coachella Quest is live today, April 14, from 8pm BST / 3pm EDT / 10am PDT until Friday, April 28 at 5pm BST / 12pm EDT / 9am PDT, with updated quests coming in from Friday, April 21 at 5pm BST / 12pm EDT / 9am PDT to Friday, April 28 at 5pm BST / 12pm EDT / 9am PDT.

Here are the rewards you'll get for completing the Fortnite Coachella Quests (as well as XP):

  • Look At The Sky Lobby Track (Earnable from either first or second set of Quests)
