Fortnite Server Status: Millions of players logged into Fortnite on May 28 only to discover the game temporarily unavailable as Epic Games rolled out the latest update for Chapter 7 Season 2. As usual, matchmaking was disabled before the patch went live, leaving fans wondering the same thing: “Is Fortnite down?” While scheduled maintenance is common for the battle royale giant, this update has generated extra attention because it’s the final major patch before the launch of Chapter 7 Season 3. That means players are expecting not only bug fixes and balance changes, but also major leaks, event files and hints about the next chapter of the game.
According to current estimates, the Fortnite servers are expected to return within a few hours, though downtime lengths can always change depending on technical issues or unexpected delays during deployment.
