T1 has announced today, April 23, the return of former Worlds champion Lee “Easyhoon” Ji-hoon, who will join the organization as a coach starting from Round 2 of the 2026 LCK season.
The organization shared the news through an official statement on X, saying it is excited to welcome Easyhoon as the newest member of its coaching staff. T1 added that it expects his years of experience to bring valuable leadership and guidance to the roster as the team enters the next stage of the season.
Easyhoon is best known for his time with SK Telecom T1 during one of the most successful eras in League history. He was part of the squad that lifted the trophy at the World Championship 2015, helping establish the dynasty that would later become modern-day T1. His measured control-mage style and steady presence made him a respected figure during his playing career.
He famously shared mid lane duties with Faker. The duo gave SKT tactical flexibility at the height of the team’s dominance, with Easyhoon often trusted on control mages and slower, methodical setups. T1 will likely hope that the reunion can help reignite some of the structure and winning mentality that defined the organization’s golden era.

With Faker still leading the roster as its franchise star, Easyhoon’s familiarity with both the player and the club culture could prove valuable behind the scenes. Since stepping away from active competition, Easyhoon has remained involved in esports through coaching and leadership roles, building experience across multiple organizations such as Suning, Weibo Gaming, and Bilibili Gaming. He also came back to T1 as an influencer in 2024.
The timing is notable, with Kim “Kk0ma” Jeong-gyun currently unavailable and T1 sitting at 3-3 in Round 2 of the 2026 LCK season, a key stretch that could shape playoff seeding and momentum. Bringing in an experienced former champion could provide both strategic insight and a steady veteran presence behind the scenes.
For longtime fans, the move is also a nostalgic one, with another former SKT figure returning to the team. All eyes will now be on how Easyhoon’s second chapter with T1 unfolds from the coaching booth.
