Former West Ham United striker Sebastien Haller is reportedly set to return to Borussia Dortmund training next month after recently being diagnosed with testicular cancer.
The Ivorian forward, who scored 14 goals in 54 games for West Ham between July 2019 and January 2021, joined German giants Dortmund in the summer as a replacement to Erling Haaland, who left the club to join Manchester City in a big money move.
However, just 12 days after joining the Black and Yellows in July in a move worth up to €34.5 million (£30.2million) including add-ons, Haller withdrew from a training camp in Switzerland after feeling unwell, where a tumour was found in his testicle after further examinations meaning he is yet to make an official debut for his current club.

Reports from BILD in Germany claim following the diagnosis and the lengthy lay-off, Haller could return to training in January, not only for strength and conditioning work, but also a view to doing some light ball work.
The report also states that while Haller is recovering well and is hopeful of soon returning to training, there is no pressure from Dortmund on a potential return to the pitch.
Prior to joining Dortmund, Haller had a stellar 18 months in the Netherlands with Ajax upon leaving West Ham. Haller scored 47 times in 66 games for Ajax, including 11 in just eight Champions League appearances.
