Former US presidents and music stars join Obamas for presidential center opening

Barack Obama

Barack Obama officially opened the Obama Presidential Center in his hometown of Chicago.
The invitation-only grand opening ceremony was attended by Presidents Biden, Bush, and Clinton, alongside their wives.
Hosted by Barack and Michelle Obama , the event occurred on June 18, preceding the center's public opening on Juneteenth.
The presidential center, a decade in the making, is set to welcome thousands of visitors, with tickets already sold out for the grand opening weekend.
The livestreamed ceremony featured a star-studded lineup of performers, including Stevie Wonder , Bruce Springsteen, Christina Aguilera, The Roots, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Marc Anthony, American rapper Common and Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder. U2's Bono and The Edge, Nigerian singer Tems, and actress and producer Marsai Martin are also on the impressive lineup.
