During the court proceedings today, the former Trump Organization CFO, Allen Weisselberg, was prominently mentioned in relation to the hush money agreement involving the Karen McDougal story. Michael Cohen testified that Weisselberg was responsible for managing all the financial transactions of the Trump Organization, raising questions as to why Weisselberg is not testifying directly and why the ultimate responsibility seemed to lie with him rather than with Trump.
However, Weisselberg is not a witness in the case due to his current incarceration at Rikers Island, a well-known New York City jail. He is serving a prison sentence for perjury and is expected to be released on July 19.
