Former Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has been charged by UEFA for his comments towards referee Anthony Taylor who officiated the Europa League final between AS Roma and Sevilla. The clash in Budapest saw 11 yellow cards dished out with numerous members of coaching staff, including Mourinho, also cautioned before Sevilla went on to win the final on penalties.
Paulo Dybala gave Mourinho's side the lead but an own goal by Gianluca Mancini brought Sevilla level before the Spanish side won their fifth Europa League crown of the last decade courtesy of Gonzalo Montiel's penalty.
After clashing with Taylor during the game, Mourinho was also pictured waiting for the referee in the car park to further express his discontent with his performance. The Premier League official was also then the recipient of abuse from Roma fans in Budapest Airport, an incident which has since been condemned by numerous governing bodies and the charges brought on both teams have now been revealed.
