Holiday lodges set in the grounds of a Northumberland hotel have been put up for sale.
Property consultancy Avison Young has been appointed to market 37 leasehold holiday lodges at Slaley Hall, near Hexham, Northumberland, on behalf of Hutchinson’s Trustee Limited. The strategic real estate advisors are working alongside the board of trustees to find one or several buyers, for either all the lodges or a combination of them in lots.
The holiday lodges were originally built and operated as a timeshare development at the four-star Slaley Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa Resort, but Avison Young said Slaley Hall Lodges are now being sold on an “unencumbered leasehold basis, subject to the determination of arbitration in relation to the winding-up of the Owner’s Club”. With UK staycations enjoying something of a boom time, the Newcastle company expects to see a lot of interest in the homes, saying they provide the perfect opportunity to invest in the British holiday and tourism sector.
