According to Fox Sports PR, former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva will join FOX Deportes as a lead analyst and be part of the broadcast team for Super Bowl LVII.
Villanueva spent six of his seven NFL seasons with the Steelers. Villanueva started every game at left tackle for Pittsburgh from 2016-2020 and 10 games in 2015. Villanueva joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent. He played college football at Army and actually graduated in 2010 before his military service delayed his NFL career. Villanueva came to Army as a tight end before moving to defensive tackle and finally settling in at offensive tackle.
Most NFL fans know Villanueva as a decorated military veteran who made his patriotism very clear. He was the only member of the Steelers to come out for the National Anthem before a game against the Chicago Bears in 2017. His outspoken nature made him a polarizing figure among the fans and the rest of the league.
