Former Shelbourne winger Jaze Kabia has joined Scottish second-tier side Falkirk on loan from Livingston until the summer.
The Corkman, who followed Wes Hoolahan in swapping Tolka Park for Livi 12 months ago, has struggled with injury this season and has been limited to just four games.
21-year-old Kabia made eight appearances in all competitions in the second half of last season, scoring twice, but a knee injury has stalled his progress this season.
“I think Falkirk is a great move for Jaze. We have been working hard behind the scenes with Jaze who is a young player with lots of potential.
“He has been dipped in and out of the squad of late and it stagnates his development,” said Livingston boss David Martindale.
“I think it’s massively important for him that he gets out playing games, ready to come back and stake a claim to be a Livingston FC first-team player next season.
“We could have been selfish and kept Jaze at the club and used him sparingly but it’s not our style.
“I honestly believe he will go and do very well with Falkirk in League 1 and it’s a win-win for all parties.”
Kabia followed in his father Jason’s footsteps by signing for Cobh Ramblers in 2017 and made his debut on the opening day of the 2018 season against Cabinteely.
He scored two goals in his only full season at the Rams and netted nine goals in 20 games in 2019 before moving to Shelbourne in the summer.
Kabia finished the season with a First Division winner’s medal, scoring six times in his five games for the Reds, which attracted the attention of the Scottish Premiership side.
