Charlie Adam has been dismissed by Fleetwood Town as manager.
The former Rangers star took charge of the English League One side on New Year's Eve last year, however the pair have parted ways with "immediate effect."
Announced via the club's official website, a statement read: "Fleetwood Town can confirm Charlie Adam has left the club with immediate effect.
"Owner Jamie Pilley said: 'I’d like to personally thank Charlie for his commitment and professionalism over the last 12 months. He’s been a pleasure to work with but recent results meant we felt a change was necessary. I wish him well for the future.'
"All at Fleetwood Town would like to thank Charlie for his hard work and commitment.
"The Club will issue a further update on the first team staff in due course."

Signed at Ibrox between 2003 and 2009, Adam played a key role under Alex McLeish and Walter Smith.
During the latter manager's second tenure, Adam helped his side reach the 2008 UEFA Cup final.
The former midfielder, however, was an unused substitute in Rangers' 2-0 defeat to Dick Advocaat's Zenit St Petersburg at the now shuttered City of Manchester Stadium.
In the summer of 2009, Adam left for Blackpool, before spending time at Liverpool, Stoke City, Reading and Dundee.
