Former Rangers striker Robbie Ure is aiming to earn a deal at Kilmarnock, according to a report.
The ex-Ibrox kid is said to currently be on trial with the Rugby Park side.
The 19-year-old is looking to impress manager Derek McInnes as he trains with Killie's first team.
The frontman left Rangers at the end of last season after allowing his contract to run down.
Earlier this month, he spent a fortnight with Eredivisie giants AZ Alkmaar as he looked to sign a deal with Pascal Jansen’s side.
Red tape put paid to those efforts though. Ure saw the move fall through due to Dutch FA rules which bar clubs from signing non-EU youngsters aged 18 and 19 unless they earn more than £3250 per week.
Alkmaar were not prepared to fork out that amount for the young Scot, and so he headed back home.
Now, the Daily Record claims that Ure is targeting Killie as the next step in his career, as he aims to play regular first-team football.
The teen made three appearances for the Light Blues last term, although mainly featured for their B team.
He scored on his debut last August as he helped Rangers to a 3-1 win over Queen of the South in the Viaplay Cup.
It's believed that a lack of game time pushed Ure to look for opportunities elsewhere though, and quit Ibrox.
However, as Rangers matched the terms the academy graduate was on last season with the offer of a contract extension, they will be due compensation from whoever Ure signs for next.
One player who definitely won't be playing for Killie this season though is Brian Kinnear.
The goalkeeper spent time on trial with McInnes' side earlier in pre-season, but they have opted against offering a deal. Will Dennis has already joined on loan from Bournemouth, while Kieran O'Hara is currently the backup.
Killie have signed ten players so far this window, including ex-Rangers defender Lewis Mayo, who joined on a permanent deal after an initial loan.
The likes of Matty Kennedy, Kyle Magennis, Stuart Findlay, and Robbie Deas have strengthened Killie's squad so far this summer.
They host Rangers in Ayrshire on the opening day of the season this Saturday. Kick-off is at 5.15pm.
