The former BBC DJ Tim Westwood has been charged with two additional offences dating back to 1991 and 2004.
The 68-year-old will appear at Westminster magistrates court on a date to be fixed accused of indecently assaulting a girl aged 16 or 17 in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in 1991, the Metropolitan police said.
He is also accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman in Wandsworth in May 2004.
Catherine P Baccas, the deputy chief crown prosecutor in CPS London, said: “Today the Crown Prosecution Service has authorised two further charges of sexual assault and indecent assault against Tim Westwood.
“Mr Westwood is already charged with nine counts of indecent assault, two counts of sexual assault and four counts of rape in relation to reported non-recent offences between 1983 and 2016 involving seven women.
“These new charges, following an investigation by the Metropolitan police, relate to separate reports of non-recent offences in 1991 and 2004 involving two additional women.
“Our prosecutors have worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring these additional charges to court and that it is in the public interest to pursue further criminal proceedings.
“The Crown Prosecution Service reminds everyone that criminal proceedings are active, and the defendant has the right to a fair trial.”
Last December, Westwood pleaded not guilty to 15 charges. Three of the indecent assault offences he is charged with allegedly occurred at the BBC Studios in 1996. Westwood hosted shows on Radio 1 between 1994 and 2013.
Also among the 15 charges were the rape of a female aged between 17 and 18 in London between 1995 and 1996, as well as sexual assault of the same person in central London in a similar period, and the rape of a woman in her 20s in London in 2010.
He was also alleged to have indecently assaulted a 17-year-old girl in Fulham, London, in 1983, indecently assaulted a woman in her 20s in Vauxhall, London, in 1986, and sexually assaulted a woman in her 20s in Stroud, Gloucestershire, in 2010.
The most recent alleged offence was sexual assault of a woman in her 20s in Finchley, north London, in 2016.
He had previously said that he “strongly denies all allegations of inappropriate behaviour”.
Westwood began his career on pirate radio in London before joining Capital Radio. He became one of the UK’s best-known names in hip-hop after hosting BBC Radio 1’s first rap show in 1994, remaining at the corporation until 2013. He later hosted a regular show on Capital Xtra, which he left in April 2022.
