Former quarry in Somerset bought with plans to build 42 homes

Somerset Marshalls South West

The site of a former quarry in Somerset has been acquired with plans in place to build 42 homes.

Housebuilder Edenstone has bought the eight-acre site in Bleadon from concrete manufacturer Marshalls for an undisclosed sum.

Edenstone is planning to redevelop the former limestone quarry on Bridge Road - around four miles south of Weston-super-Mare - for residential purposes.
