Former President Trump Faces Legal Challenges In New York

Donald Trump to testify in New York civil fraud trial

Former President Donald Trump appeared at a New York criminal court for a pre-trial hearing in his hush money criminal case. The hearing focused on discovery issues that have caused a delay in Trump's trial, pushing it back to at least April. Trump's legal team has requested further postponement or dismissal of the case, with Trump himself labeling it a 'hoax' as he entered the courtroom.

Cameras were permitted in the courthouse hallway, allowing Trump to interact with the media before and after the hearing. Following the proceedings, Trump is expected to address reporters regarding the case.

Meanwhile, Trump faces another legal challenge as he races against a deadline to secure a bond while appealing a $464 million civil fraud ruling by Judge Arthur Engoron. The judgment implicated Trump, his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, as well as the Trump Organization. Failure to post the required bond by Monday could prompt the New York attorney general to initiate asset seizure to cover Trump's financial obligations to the state. Trump has already lodged an appeal against the court's decision.
