Former President Jimmy Carter, currently residing in a hospice room, remains actively engaged in following the developments within the Democratic Party. His grandson, Jason Carter, shared that the former president is closely monitoring the shifts in the 2024 campaign, particularly with Vice President Kamala Harris emerging as the presidential nominee.

During a recent family discussion about his upcoming 100th birthday, Jimmy Carter expressed his enthusiasm for voting for Kamala Harris, indicating his anticipation for the future political landscape. Jason Carter described his grandfather as remarkably engaged and optimistic about the potential for a new chapter in American politics, moving away from the era dominated by Donald Trump.

He eagerly anticipates voting for Kamala Harris in the upcoming election.

Having a longstanding friendship with Joe Biden, Carter also took note of Biden's decision to withdraw from the race. Biden, who was the first senator to endorse Carter's presidential bid in 1976, received praise from Carter for passing the torch and making a courageous choice.

Despite being in hospice care for the past 18 months, Jimmy Carter's grandson reassured that while his physical condition has significantly declined, he is in good spirits. President Biden disclosed last year that Carter had requested him to deliver his eulogy upon his passing, highlighting the enduring bond between the two political figures.
