A Olympic champion cyclist told how she “tried and tried” to save her partner after he suffered a cardiac arrest just days after winning the Scottish MTB XC Championships.

Scottish Cycling confirmed on Tuesday evening that Rab Wardell had died in his sleep aged 37.
