In case you missed the news over the last couple of days, the Ohio State alumni team, better known as Carmen’s Crew, will not be taking part in this year’s TBT (The Basketball Tournament). But that doesn’t mean there won’t be any former Buckeyes in the winner-take-all summer basketball tourney.
In fact, according to an announcement on Twitter, former guard Jimmy Sotos has agreed to play with the Ex-Pats, a team that represents former Patriot League players. And if you’re wondering why Sotos, an OSU player agreed to play with the team, it’s because of his time with Bucknell before transferring to Ohio State — Bucknell being a Patriot League team.
In fact, with the Bison his senior year, Sotos was a starter and averaged 11.5 points a game.
HUGE addition for the Ex-Pats in Jimmy Sotos. In 2020, Sotos led @Bucknell_MBB in both points and assists before transferring to @OhioStateHoops for his final two seasons. With time in both the Patriot League and Big Ten, Jimmy is bringing a ton of experience to this Ex-Pats team pic.twitter.com/LSQcxbuvyr

Once at Ohio State from 2020-to 2022, Sotos suffered through injuries and inconsistency but it’ll still be fun to watch what he does in TBT. Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye.
