The New York Jets have signed former Ohio State cornerback Kendall Sheffield.
Sheffield began his collegiate career at the University of Alabama. After redshirting his freshman year, Sheffield transferred to JUCO Blinn College for a year before coming to Columbus. He would play two seasons in Scarlet and Gray tallying 75 tackles, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles.
Sheffield would go on to be drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. He was a solid contributor on the Falcons D for two seasons and then began to bounce around the league, most recently appearing in three games with the San Francisco 49ers in 2023.

Sheffield now has another opportunity to prove his worth as NFL training camps are getting set to begin. The signing of the former OSU star gives the Jets four former Buckeyes on the roster joining wide receiver Garrett Wilson, tight end Jeremy Ruckert, and defensive lineman Jayln Holmes.
