A former New South Wales police officer has been charged with drug trafficking after being arrested in Civic.
The 27-year-old man, who was an officer attached to a command in the southern region at the time of the alleged offending, is no longer employed with police.
His arrest took place at a Hobart Place licensed venue one Saturday night in May following a joint investigation between the NSW Police Force and the Australian Federal Police into drug use and drug supply in the ACT.
The man has been charged with the Commonwealth offence of trafficking in a controlled drug other than cannabis and is set to face the ACT Magistrates Court next month.
He is accused of committing the crime in the territory.
