Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Joao Carvalho has joined Estoril on a season-long loan deal after just over a year at Olympiacos.
Carvalho left the Reds in January and signed for Evangelos Marinakis' Olympiacos after a year and a half at the City Ground. The Portuguese joined Forest in 2018 for a then club-record fee of £13.2 million from Benfica.
He played 75 games during his time in the East Midlands and scored eight goals. He spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Spanish side Almeria before joining the Greek giants.

The 25-year-old appeared 17 times for Olympiacos last season as they lifted their record 47th Super League title. However, the playmaker has today joined Portuguese side Estoril on a season-long loan after being left out of Carlos Corberan's side over the weekend.
He will return to Portugal's Premier Division for the first time since he left Benfica in 2018. Carvalho has previously made 22 appearances in the top flight, scoring once during a loan move with Vitoria Setubal.
