Former Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi has hinted that a job in Italy would be his next role of choice.
The Frenchman has been out of work since leaving Qatari side Al Duhail last August. He remains keen on a return to management, but says he is waiting for “the right project”.
He has been linked with a number of roles during the past year, including Belgian outfit Standard Liege, the Mauritania national team and Turkish side Besiktas. He was also said to be in the running to take over at Sunderland at one point.

But the 50-year-old has suggested he is prepared to bide his time before picking up the reins at a club again. And he has an eye on one move, in particular.
“I'm waiting for the right project, a team,” he recently told TuttoMercatoWeb. “Maybe in Italy. I was lucky enough to travel a lot, I'm willing to move.”
Lamouchi had 16 months in charge at the City Ground, being appointed in the summer of 2019 and taking the Reds agonisingly close to the Championship play-offs. A final day capitulation in the 2019/20 season saw them lose out on a place in the top six, with a dismal start to the following campaign resulting in the axe falling that October.
The former Rennes chief spent time in Italy as a player, having spells at Parma, Inter Milan and Genoa. He has previously said it “would be a dream” to return to the country.
Lamouchi has also previously managed the Ivory Coast national team and El Jaish. He left Al Duhail when his contract was terminated by “mutual consent”.
