NFL teams have a tendency to take on the personality of their best player. That is usually a good thing, but we’ve also seen it be a negative for certain franchises. The good news for the Raiders is that they couldn’t have a better leader as their top player.
Maxx Crosby is the best player on the roster for the Las Vegas Raiders. He’s been consistently great for three seasons in a row and has seemed to get better every year. Not only is he awesome on the field as a player, but he is among the easiest players in the league to cheer on.
In a recent article by former NFL cornerback Jason McCourty, he named one player from every team that you should be rooting for this season. Crosby was his pick for the Raiders as McCourty praised his work ethic and character:
Mad Maxx is an nightmare off the edge in the Raiders’ front, fresh off a career-best 12.5-sack season. He is the heart and soul of that defense with a relentless motor and larger-than-life personality. His story of overcoming addiction only adds to his likability.
Crosby plays as hard as anyone in the NFL and lead the league in snaps among EDGE defenders last season. His motor always runs hot and he’s turned himself into one of the best pass rushers in the league.
For so many different reasons, it’s hard not to like Crosby. As McCourty mentioned, he is one of the most likable superstars the NFL has going into the 2023 season.
