Michigan State football’s all-time career field goal leader Matt Coghlin is now in the USFL playing with the New Orleans Breakers. Coghlin was just voted the USFL Special Teams player of the week after drilling five field goals (and an extra point) in USFL action.
Coghlin’s longest was an impressive 51-yarder. If he keeps this up, it’s not unlikely that he’ll get a call from NFL teams soon for a tryout.
