Former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy takes jibe at Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao on cloudburst conspiracy theory in Godavari basin

HYDERABAD: Newly-minted BJP leader and former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy on Monday took a dig at chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for claiming that a foreign hand could be behind the cloudburst in the Godavari basin. Addressing a press conference, Vishweshwar Reddy said: “Is Pakistan or China truly to blame for cloudbursts, as KCR claims? It is acknowledged that they need a covert air base in India if they intend to use rockets or aircraft to cause cloudbursts. Possibly, the air base would be near KCR’s own constituency, Gajwel.

The CM should also give us more details”. The former MP, who also gave a presentation on the cloudburst, said: “If there is rainfall of over 100 mm, cloudburst should be suspected. In such cases, the rain will not last all day.” He also inquired as to why the flood could not be stopped despite the construction of the Kaleswaram project.
