Former Tory MP faces two-year wait for general election betting trial

An ex-MP and aide of former prime minister Rishi Sunak faces a wait of more than two years after being charged with betting offences.

Craig Williams, 40, who was Tory MP for Montgomeryshire and Cardiff North, is accused of cheating by gambling on the date of the 2024 general election.
