Former Manchester United star Jesse Lingard training at David Beckham's Inter Miami

Former Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has been training with David Beckham's Inter Miami in the MLS.

Lingard is currently surveying his options ahead of the new season after his contract at Nottingham Forest came to an end recently. In a short clip on his Instagram, the 30-year-old can be seen scoring outside the DRV PNK Stadium wearing just his socks.

In the background, someone is heard saying: 'Six minutes guys, rest there," suggesting this was more of an organised training session rather than a friendly kickabout. Lingard was recently linked with Wayne Rooney's DC United but the Reds legend quickly shut down those rumours.

He explained in a press conference last month: "The Jesse Lingard [rumour]? I don't know where that has come from.

"From my point of view we have no interest in signing him." Lingard himself has also spoken about his future recently and what it may hold, including a potential move to Saudi Arabia.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "I'm considering all options. I've never ruled out any team or club out, so for me it's just picking the right team and it's got to be right for me. I just want to play football at the end of the day and that's all I want to do.

"Obviously the project has got to be well suited for me, the team's got to be moving in the right direction but just regular game-time – I'm still hungry. Saudi Arabia are doing big things, and in the next couple of years or so, it will be one of the hotspots to go to. I'm not really surprised that the big names are moving out there.

"Like I say, they're doing big things and it's something I would consider as well – I've not ruled that out either. It's got to be right for me at the end of the day. I've got to go on my gut feeling but I'm still hungry and striving for success."

If Lingard was to join Miami, he would be entering during a period of transition. Beckham has still not replaced Phil Neville after he was sacked last month and the Herons are set to welcome Barcelona legends Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets soon.

All this is taking place as the club sits bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference and have not won in the league since Neville's departure.
