Fabian Delph, the former Manchester City midfielder, has announced his immediate retirement from football.
The 32-year-old was at the Etihad for a four-year spell between 2015 and 2019 during which time he helped the team clinch two Premier League titles.
He also represented Leeds United, Aston Villa and Everton in his career and won 20 caps for England, featuring at the 2018 World Cup.
Writing on Instagram, Delph posted: "So today I announce my retirement with nothing but happiness and gratitude for what this beautiful game has given me.

"Massive shout out to my family, friends, players and staff from the amazing clubs I have been fortunate enough to represent as well as the support I have had from the fans."
His most recent team was Everton but he was released at the end of last season, having only featured 11 times for the Toffees in what would prove to be his final season.
He spent three seasons at Goodison Park after signing for the club in 2019 from City, making 41 appearances in all competitions over the course of that spell. He left the club in the summer upon the expiry of his contract after managing some strong performances under Frank Lampard in the latter stages of his time with the club.
Upon swapping the Etihad for Everton, Delph said: "I wanted to be playing more regularly and the opportunity to come and play for Everton was too good of an opportunity to turn down.
"I’m hungry. I don’t like losing. I see myself as a winner. I’m at an age now where I am probably one of the most experienced players, so hopefully I can bring that and try to help my teammates here to do better."
