Armed police were called to the home of former Manchester City star Fitzroy Simpson after it was blasted by a gunman on Tuesday night (December 13). The detached home was reportedly targeted, with shots being fired before the gunman fled the scene.
The home of the ex-Premier League footballer, who previously played for Man City in 1992-1995, was attended shortly after 8pm on Tuesday evening following reports of a firearm being discharged at the scene.
A police helicopter and dog unit were deployed to the home, in Stratton, Swindon, but no suspect was located. Police are continuing to appeal for information into the incident.
