Anfield has paid tribute to former Liverpool Women’s manager Matt Beard, following his death at the weekend at the age of 47.

Liverpool and Southampton players wore black armbands and observed a minute’s silence ahead of their Carabao Cup tie. The advertising hoardings and stadium scoreboard displayed ‘Matt Beard 1978-2025’.
