Former Liverpool forward Bobby Duncan has signed for Spanish third division side Real Balompédica Linense on a three-year deal.
The 21-year-old left the Reds in acrimonious circumstances back in 2019 after his former agent, Saif Rubie, accused the club of 'mentally bullying' his client. Duncan soon after joined Serie A side Fiorentina but failed to make his mark in Italy and returned to England.
A move to Derby County was agreed in 2020, though the youngster was limited to one senior appearance during his spell with the Rams and spent much of his time within the club's academy set-up.
VERDICT: Liverpool major pre-season hope is obvious despite injuries and mixed results
PLAYER RATINGS: Liverpool player ratings as Harvey Elliott good in tough night vs Strasbourg
Duncan, who is the cousin of Reds legend Steven Gerrard, has now taken on a new challenge in the Spanish third tier and joins a club who ended last campaign in 12th position. Tipped for greatness during his time in the Liverpool Academy, the Whiston-born attacker formed a devastating partnership with Paul Glatzel at U18s level and was included in Jurgen Klopp's first-team pre-season squad in 2019.
