Former Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is expected to sign terms with Newcastle United until the end of the season.
That is according to Sky Germany who say that the shot-stopper has agreed to pen a deal that would keep him at St James' Park for the remainder of the Premier League campaign.
Originally, Karius ended his time as a free agent in September to sign with the Magpies and since that deal expired at the end of 2022, he has been training with Eddie Howe's side.

Reports in the goalkeeper's native Germany say that the Champions League chasers have 'agreed' to extend the 29-year-old's stay in the North East. Additionally, there are 'talks already planned' for a long-term deal as per the same outlet.
Karius' time as Liverpool number one came to an end following the arrival of Alisson Becker in 2019. He then went on to have two loan spells at Besiktas and Union Berlin but both temporary moves were unsuccessful.
His wait for a debut in the black and white continues after Newcastle recently recalled Martin Dubravka from his loan at Manchester United and he was immediately thrust in for their FA Cup exit against Sheffield Wednesday.
"It made me go to another club. It was maybe a move that wouldn't have happened otherwise," he told Chronicle Live about the impact of the Champions League final defeat in Kyiv.
"It was a late (taking four years) move but I don't know. My time at Liverpool was over after that and I was looking to move on and then there was difficulties to get the transfer done.
"I found myself in a situation where I had to stay at Liverpool knowing I wouldn't get my chance. It was discussed openly with the manager. There's no bad blood but knowing the situation from the beginning was tough."
