Former Red Jason McAteer says he wouldn't swap Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez for Erling Haaland in a debate with Andy Gray on beIN Sports.
Nunez made the move to Anfield from Portuguese side Benfica earlier this summer, while Haaland joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund. The pair are some of the most promising young strikers in the game and Haaland has already established himself as one of the best in Europe.
As they find their feet in the Premier League, there's plenty of debate over who will have the biggest impact this campaign. McAteer says he wouldn't swap the Uruguayan, while Gray believes Liverpool 's new boy still has a 'lot to learn'.

"It's a tough one. I like Nunez 's attitude," McAteer told beIN Sport. "I think he has come to the club willing to learn. Haaland has got a bit of a strut about him, he feels he's the finished article and that's the confidence he has.
"Strikers need that confidence in themselves. I think Nunez does have that. They're very similar, Nunez is very quick and quite an old fashioned centre forward. They've both gone away from this 'false number nine', which is interesting. They've mixed it up a bit both teams.
"Would I swap? No, no I wouldn't swap. I'm quite happy with our man."
Gray continued: "I think Nunez has still go to prove it for me. He has massive potential. They've both got to prove it in the Premier League, but Haaland is further forward in his development than Nunez in his ability at the very highest level.
"I might be wrong, but I don't think there's a doubt about Haaland. I think he will be a success whatever happens.
"I don't know about Nunez. He could be one of the best, or he might not. The Premier League will find that out. I think Haaland is better equipped right now, although there's not a lot between them."
Nunez made an immediate impact for Jurgen Klopp 's side as he came on as a substitute and scored in their draw against Fulham last weekend. The 23-year-old also scored in stoppage time in the FA Community Shield victory over Man City.
While Haaland wasn't on the scoresheet against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, the Norway international did score twice in their win against West Ham last week.
