Former Lioness Jill Scott to tackle 388-mile Sport Relief cycle and marathon challenge

  • Former Lioness Jill Scott is “honoured” to be undertaking a five-day cycle and marathon challenge for Sport Relief , starting on Monday, 8 June.
  • The challenge will see Scott cover 388 miles, cycling and running from Wembley Stadium to her hometown club, Sunderland's Stadium of Light.
  • During the five days, she will visit various football stadiums and community hubs, including Aston Villa, Everton, and Manchester City.
  • Speaking on the challenge, Scott said: “I feel honoured, like out of so many people that could have been chosen for this, I’m the one that gets to go out there and try and raise as much money as possible.”
  • The former footballer highlighted the importance of youth clubs and access to sport, adding that Sport Relief can help give “kids a sense of belonging”.
