Former Lioness Alex Scott became the first contestant to be voted off I'm A Celebrity on Friday night in an unexpected twist.
Alex, 41, found herself in the firing line after comedian Eddie Kadi - tipped to be the first to be ousted from the jungle - was exempt from the public vote after winning a live trial.
Campmates broke into applause for Alex as she quickly made her exit from the jungle following the vote.
Asked how she felt by hosts Ant and Dec, Alex said: "I'm free! It feels strange and doesn't feel real. Now I'm like, 'Oh, I'm out'.
"It has been an incredible experience and mentally it has been tough but I am so glad I got to do it with so many amazing campmates.
"The laughter we have had and we really connected and making the bonds that we did."
The football pundit laughed about her contraband adventures, as she was shown footage of her sneaking in salt to add seasoning to the rice.
When Ant and Dec asked about the worst aspect of the jungle, Alex appeared to point the finger at fellow campmate Martin Kemp.
She said: "The toilet seat situation, the smell is awful and someone keeps leaving the seat up, but we can't say anything because he is a national treasure."
Alex added she wants former EastEnders actress Shona McGarty to win the series, and hopes Youtube star Angry Ginge and rapper Aitch also make it to the final.
She said: “I think Shona being named Queen of the Jungle, would just change her and give her the confidence to take on life.”
As she crossed the I'm A Celebrity bridge, Alex was met by her friend Regan Coleman, as her girlfriend pop star Jess Glynne, 36, is currently on tour in the UK.
Fans shared their disappointment at Alex being the first cast member to leave the jungle.
One person wrote: "Alex Scott is the first celebrity to be going home from the latest series of I'm a Celeb I thought it would be Lisa."
Another added: "Alex Scott being the first person to leave I’m A Celebrity is so sad; Alex is the first to leave I'm A Celebrity...and I just got to say, I did not see that coming."
During her two weeks in the camp, Scott skydived from 12,000 feet and even waded through offal as part of the show’s challenges.
Glynne celebrated her girlfriend’s efforts with a post on Instagram, telling followers she was “unbelievably proud” of her partner.
“My woman might be out far earlier than she deserved, but I’m so unbelievably proud of her,” she said.
“She didn’t get the airtime to show how incredible she really is and trust me, this is only the beginning.”
Explaining why she was not there to meet Scott at the end of the bridge, Glynne wrote: “Over the last few weeks, my mum suffered a major stroke and needed urgent brain surgery.
“It’s been a really life-altering time for my family, and I’ve had to stay close to home.
“Alex would always want me to be where I’m needed most. I can’t wait to have her back by my side.”
