Former Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly set to be confirmed as the new Uruguayan national team manager after over a year out of management.
The 67-year-old was last in charge of the Whites at Elland Road in February 2022 when he was replaced by American Jesse Marsch following a string of poor results. Since then, Marsch has seen himself replaced by Spaniard Javi Gracia.
However, Bielsa remains a cult hero for Leeds fans following their promotion back to the Premier League under his guidance in the 2019/20 season.

Bielsa has been linked to numerous jobs over the past few months, including the likes of relegation rivals Everton - something which Whites supporters were not happy with.
He was last in charge of a national team in 2011 when he headed the dugout for another South American country, Chile, having led them to a World Cup in 2010 where they reached the Round of 16 after missing the two previous editions of the tournament.
He'd also previously coached the Argentinian national team from 1998 until 2004, after they'd reached the quarter-finals of the 1998 World Cup.
In a tweet by Argentinian journalist Cesar Luis Merlo of TYC Sports, he seemingly confirmed the news that has been brewing over the past few days.
When translated from Spanish, the tweet reads: "[CONFIRMED] Marcelo Bielsa is the new coach of the Uruguayan team. The agreement is complete and is expected to be made official in the next few days. He will sign a contract until the end of the Qualifiers with chances to extend if he qualifies for the World Cup.."
