Former Leeds United star Lee Sharpe has been forced to close his bar in Spain.
Sharpe, 51, who played for Leeds United between 1996 and 1999, opened an Irish bar called Sharpey’s in Javea in 2021. Sharpe has accepted the business ‘wasn’t working’ before he stepped away.
Sharpe, who also played for Manchester United and eight England caps, has spoken to The Olive Press about the future of Sharpey’s. “As a family it just wasn’t working for us with my name on the door,” Sharpe explained.

After hanging up his boots, Sharpe, who won the Premier League with Manchester United, became a TV personality.
