Former Kilcoo boss Conleith Gilligan set for new role with Tyrone club

Conleith Gilligan Kilcoo Tyrone Glen Down Magpies Ulster Club Mickey Moran Derry

Conleith Gilligan has been appointed as the new manager of Tyrone side Edendork for the 2023 season.

The former Derry star stepped down as manager of Kilcoo along with Richard Thorton in the aftermath of last month’s Ulster Club SFC Final defeat to Glen at the Athletic Grounds.

Gilligan and Thornton had coached the Magpies to All-Ireland success last term under the legendary manager Mickey Moran before taking the reins following Moran’s departure after their stunning victory over Kilmacud Crokes.
