Shane Byrne will be swapping rugby boots for dancing shoes in the new year. as he takes part in RTE's Dancing With the Stars.
The former Leinster star, who also won 41 caps for Ireland between 2001 and 2005, has been revealed as the sixth celebrity in this year's Dancing With The Stars.
"I'm really looking forward to hitting the dance floor on Dancing with the Stars in January!," Shane said on RTE 2FM this morning.
He told Jennifer Zamparelli that it's not like anything he's ever done before, but he's going to "give it his all".
Shane is a familiar face to Irish audiences outside of sport, as he has previously taken part in Celebrity Come Dine With Me, Know the Score, and Celebrity You're a Star.
He will be joining Dr. Marie Cassidy, Paul Brogan, Suzanne Jackson, Brooke Scullion and Panti Bliss and a few more celebs still to be revealed.
