Former Ireland goalkeeper Paddy Kenny has shared an Instagram message that appeared to be sent from the account of Eni Aluko as the pundit hit back over his social media comments.
Aluko went viral after a recent Declan Rice transfer theory, suggesting Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola only made a bid for Rice to help his former assistant Mikel Arteta sign him for Arsenal. The theory raised eyebrows due to Arsenal and Manchester City being Premier League title rivals.
And former shot-stopper Kenny took aim at Aluko on his own Twitter account.
He said: "Never heard owt like it in my life. How does she get air time?? Biggest load of bull I've ever heard."
Kenny then took to his social media again where he shared a screenshot of a message he claimed he received from Aluko's account.
It reads: "Hi Paddy can't say I've ever seen you as a pundit get airtime. There's probably a reason for that. Disagree respectfully but coming for former players who have been pundit at the highest level for 10 years makes you look jealous and bitter mate. Not a great look."
Aluko then shared a URL to an Instagram page and said: "Brilliant punditry talking about getting stoned. Amazing use of your airtime. Sorry what podcast is this? Let me know you're on Talksport, ITV, BT Sport, Amazon - I'll tune and see how you use your "airtime".
Posting the message on social media, Kenny said: "Someone is rattled and comes across very big time."
