Former Hibs defender Efe Ambrose is back in football after putting pen to paper on a deal with Greenock Morton.
The former Celtic stopper joins the Scottish Championship club until the end of the season as he boosts the defensive ranks at Cappielow. It's his sixth club in Scotland after stints at Parkhead, Easter Road, Livingston, St Johnstone and most recently Dunfermline Athletic before making the switch to the Ton.
Dougie Imrie's men are just three points off the summit in Scotland's second tier despite sitting sixth in the table after 12 games. Only one win separates the top six sides while they hold a eight point cushion over the bottom two. A club statement read: "Greenock Morton are delighted to announce the signing on Efe Ambrose on a deal until the end of the season.

"Efe joins the team as a highly experienced defender playing almost 200 games in the Scottish Premiership where he won the league with Celtic on four occasions and making just under 50 appearances for his national team where he was part of the Nigeria side that lifted the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013.
"Efe will wear the number 12 shirt with his kits now available to sponsor."
Morton face a Friday night game under the lights against Inverness Caley Thistle before games with Ayr United and Partick Thistle.
All three teams they come up against in the next fortnight are in the mix at the top end of the table and eyeing up the title.
