Former Hibs loanee Sylvester Jasper has signed for a Portuguese side incidentally managed by a former Hearts boss.
The young striker, who was on loan at Hibs last season and made 16 appearances, has sealed a move to Portimonense in Liga Portugal. The 21-year-old was brought to Easter Road by axed boss Shaun Maloney and did impress in flashes before another brief spell at Bristol Rovers. Hibs had the option to make his loan a permanent transfer but decided against the move last summer.
Now Jasper is looking for his next opportunity and has taken to Portugal to find it, linking up with ex-Jambos boss Paulo Sergio. The Portuguese boss infamously won the Scottish Cup in 2012 with the Gorgie, smashing their rivals 5-1, but then rejected a contract offer and moved to Cluj.

Jasper was capped at under-15 and under-16 by England, later choosing to represent Bulgaria at under-21 level, and has signed a three-year deal with Sergio's men.
