Former Geordie Shore star Sophie Kasaei opens up about 'botched' surgery in Turkey

Sophie Kasaei has revealed the results of a recent breast reduction following a horrifying previous surgery.

The original Geordie Shore contestant said that she braved going under the knife again to hopefully reverse 'botched' operations - which left her feeling insecure.

The 32-year-old initially revealed that she lacked confidence in her appearance after finding success on the hit MTV show, which left her seeking cosmetic surgery. However, for the young Geordie, it went all wrong.

The Mirror reports that Sophie has now in-turn reduced her breast size from a DD cup to a C cup. Speaking with Closer, the star admitted: "I was only 20 when I joined Geordie Shore, and I wasn't used to seeing myself on-screen. We were on TV along with shows like Made In Chelsea and TOWIE and they were full of glamourous, gorgeous girls and we were the polar opposites.

"We were known for being these drunken, loud lasses, yet deep down we also wanted to be beautiful and have that sex appeal, but society didn't put us in that category. It was the era where the likes of Victoria Beckham and Katie Price made big boobs fashionable.

"I felt pressure to have that fullness in my bust, so I caved in and had surgery."

However, Sophie didn't stop there - going on to have a Brazilian Butt Lift after sourcing inspiration from Kim Kardashian's world-famous hourglass figure and curves. She got the procedure alongside G-Shore co-star, Chloe Ferry.

The extensive procedure involves pouches of fat being removed from elsewhere in the body, and instead being relocated into the bottom. The NHS however warned against this, saying that it can leave lumpy scars, and lead to infections and fatal blockages in blood vessels.

She revealed that she would often receive messages from surgeons in Turkey offering to give her the treatment completely free of charge, as she was a 'good candidate'. And being young, she failed to do her research, instead opting to fly over with Chloe just a few weeks later.

Despite there being reputable surgeons in Turkey, this wasn't Sophie's experience. She described the hospital as 'run-down', saying that she felt unsafe.

Sophie said she didn't have surgical fluid drains after the surgery, so when she stood up there was blood everywhere. It got even worse for the star when just two months later, Sophie developed an abscess while she was on holiday in Mexico.

She was told she had a sever abscess and if it burst it could be fatal.

Sophie decided that she wanted to fly home straight away to be with her family in case things did get worse. When she landed back in the UK, Sophie went straight into surgery where they drained a litre of puss from the lump.
