Former Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby gives birth to baby girl, it has been announced

Former Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby has welcomed a baby girl, it was announced on Saturday morning.

The 31-year-old revealed she was pregnant in the middle of April. And in a post on social media early on Saturday, it was confirmed she had become a mum for the first time.

Charlotte's dad Gary shared the exciting news on Twitter. He wrote: "So, officially a grand father! Little girl, all is well. Excited for the new chapter in our little family."

Charlotte and boyfriend Jake Ankers are now proud parents after they started dating last year, reports The Mirror. In her pregnancy announcement video, Charlotte broke down in tears as she shared her exciting news with her mother Letitia, while her dad told Jake he had "never seen my daughter so happy".

Last month, the star opened up about her turbulent pregnancy journey and admitted she didn't feel like she was having a baby after her mum was diagnosed with cancer. After finding out about Letitia's cancer, Charlotte has since been accompanying her to chemotherapy.

She revealed her mum's diagnosis had affected her experience with the pregnancy, saying she hadn't had "time to think about it". "With my mum going through chemotherapy and spending over six hours in hospital with her per day, I've got to try to put all the baby business to the back of my mind. I've got zero time to think about it.

"It just doesn't feel like I'm having a baby. But at the same time, it feels like I've been pregnant for an eternity," she told new magazine.

Letitia previously explained how she found it difficult to tell her daughter about her cancer so soon after hearing about the pregnancy. Speaking to The Sun, the 53-year-old said: "We had so many things to look forward to so telling her I had cancer when she was pregnant was so hard."
