Warriors star Draymond Green recently took a jab at former first-round NBA draft pick Andrew Nicholson, singling out the ex-Magic forward as the one player whom he can’t comprehend was drafted ahead of him.
Green, who was selected by Golden State in the second round of the 2012 NBA draft, dissed Nicholson, saying he didn’t even look like a basketball player during an appearance on Paul George’s podcast.
Nicholson, who has been out of the league since 2017, responded to Green’s remarks, suggesting the Warriors forward was acting insecurely.
“I see it as an insecurity on his end. I didn’t know he was thinking about me for the last 11 years,” said Nicholson during a recent appearance on The Tidal League.

Nicholson was the No. 19 pick in the 2012 NBA draft, selected by Orlando out of St. Bonaventure, a school Green claimed to not know how to pronounce in his initial comments. The Warriors selected Green 16 picks later.
Nicholson currently plays in the East Asia Super League for the Bay Area Dragons. His NBA career spanned five seasons, during which he spent time with the Magic, Wizards, and Nets.
While his career may not have been as illustrious as Green’s, he didn’t hesitate to clap back at the outspoken Warriors’ star over his comments.
