A bid to build two trade warehouses at a former go-karting site has been lodged with East Lothian planners.
The owners of the former home of Raceland, off the A1 in East Lothian, have already seen planning permission for a petrol station, a McDonald's drive thru, coffee shop and builders yard given the go ahead.
Now they have applied for permission to build two trade counter units/warehouses on the remaining vacant part of the site, at Gladsmuir junction, saying it will "complete the full redevelopment of the large brownfield (Raceland) site."

Thrill-seekers paradise Raceland closed its doors four years ago and the land was taken on by Euro Garage Ltd. It was plagued with fly-tipping and fire-raising incidents last year with the main buildings on the site now demolished leaving the site vacant.
The latest application for the site involves two warehouse buildings which are described as 36 metres by 23 metres with a height of 8.3 metres.
Trade counter units sell to businesses or trade direct from a warehouse.
In the application for planning permission for the new buildings agents for the site owners said: "The proposed development will reflect the approved buildings for the building merchant and roadside services area on the
adjacent sites.
And they argue the decision to grant planning permission for the builders yard last year confirmed the site is now classed as brownfield land which can be redeveloped, which it was not when Raceland was operating on it.
A report by planning officers during the builders yard consultation is quoted as stating: "The former karting facility buildings and outdoor track area have since been demolished and only partially cleared leaving the site as unattractive land requiring redevelopment. The site is therefore now a brownfield site."
The plans are available on East Lothian Council planning portal for viewing.
